Insert Quotes Command
This command is intended for both Fireworks CS3 and 4. In Fireworks CS4, Fireworks auto-converts all imported quotes to smart quotes, no matter if you copy them from Word or Notepad, CS3, Illustrator. The Only way you can insert straight quotes (single or double) in Fireworks CS4 is to copy/paste such quotes from Photoshop. Straight quotes vs smart quotes
A bit of typogragraphy today with straight quotes and smart quotes. The problem is that since Fireworks CS4 you no longer get straight quotes. Using Blend 3 for Silverlight 2
Outside of Sketchflow one of the coolest features in Blend 3 is the ability to easily turn visuals like paths into standard controls. This combined with the introduction of photoshop and illustrator makes for some nice additions to the workflow options we already have. Joanna Mason (who I also pestered about a fireworks import like Grants ) did a great presentation at mix showing off the complete flow from Adobe CS to full blown silverlight controls, but it left me wanting this for current projects not projects in the future.
