Better MovieClips with SwAG MovieClips have been the stalwart workhorse of Flash since the very earliest days of ActionScript, so I’ll skip the details and gushing adoration and instead move on to some of the shortcomings: MovieClips only play forward from the current frame. When building out animations without extra MovieClip functionality, playing animations backwards — a character in a game reversing, for example –requires a whole new timeline with the animation reversed. This produces a little extra memory overhead, even if symbols are re-used, but more importantly makes cross-linking the “forward” and “backward” clips challenging. A week or so ago, I started toying with the idea of creating a tweening solution for Unity. Trying experimental tweening solutions are the kind of thing I find myself always spending time with: in the work I usually do, tweening is something I constantly have to deal with, and I strive to find the […] (translate)

Some time ago I posted some tests done with Colorfabb's XT plastic. I'm guessing that the people from MadeSolid read that and wanted me to test their PET+ filament? I love testing new plastics so of course I said yes to getting some samples! Just like Colorfabb XT, the PET+ material from MadeSolid is made from PET plastic so I expected the two to be kind of similar. PET is the plastic used in drinking bottles and food containers, so just from that you know it's solid. It's much more solid than PLA as it's not brittle at all. It's (translate)

Featuring 60 levels, the game tests your target hitting and balancing skills as you get to launch Shaun and the rest of the flock from the biggest pair of pants you’ve ever seen and then balance one sheep on top of the other.
